Circa: 1850
Bald Head or Biedermeier German China Head doll. This is a very pretty 11 inch china doll on the original cloth body with leather arms and stitched fingers, the shoes were made from satin and sewn onto the feet with little black buttons. The doll has a very faint hairline the runs down the left side of the face from above the eyebrow down below the cheek. She has blue eyes, rosy cheeks and a brown mohair wig, she is dressed in what appears to be the original red dress, with white underwear and long stockings. She has no other chips, hairlines or cracks other than the one mentioned above. Very pretty early doll from 1850’s |
